2nd thing is.. MISSBEHAVE MAG! I stumbled upon this amazing magazine in a subway station in D.C. over a year ago and I'VE BEEN INLOVE WITH IT EVER SINCE! They're based in BK, home of the incredibly talented and chique, and tell you about every nook and cranny of cool, dope, and fresh like you've never seen/read before. They put out issues by season but hopefully they'll get big enough to start putting out monthly issues! The girls that write the articles are some feirce and intellectual biotches that deserve pulitzers! Im telling you, subscribe, its so worth it!

Subway Subbatical

I know its spelled sAbbatical.. Dont try to correct me, I have artistic freedom. So I have taken the train every where, almost every single day since I was.. BORN so I decided to write a song about riding these trains. These trains that used to be $1 or so when I was growing up.. That used to have beautiful graffiti, washed off before my time.. That used to run efficiently? I dont know if that ever happened. But I do know that life in NYC is hectic and sometimes getting on the train can be a relief from the busy streets.. You got your mp3 player on or if your old school, your CD player. If you live under a rock, your cassette player.. Maybe you want to seem intelligent so you pull out a book or you want to stay relevant so you read the newspaper that someone kindly left on the seat next to you.. Or maybe you enjoy obnoxiously loud conversations with your neighboring train pedestrians. Whatever it is you do, its just masking how horrible a train ride can truly be..

Grrrrrrrrrrrrr..

So for those of you who have spoken to me in the past 3weeks should already know Ive been "watching" what I eat by "eliminating" animal products and by-products.. So far Ive been pretty good with a small slice of cheese here and a piece of sushi there and honestly I wasn't finding it hard at all until my roommate started cooking all this meat in the house and he throws DOWN in the kitchen.. Vegans, any support you can offer to stop me from giving into the sweet smell of veal roasting in the oven? Im drooling just thinking about it.. Help a sista out!
