Little Bit - Lykke Li
I was watching Lykke Li's video for "I follow Rivers" and I sort of hated it (not the song, the video- sorry Tarik Seleh) So I googled a good, cheap, innovative video of hers and decided to share. No big budget, no pretense, just creativity.

Nouveau and Kaye.. WOMAN UP
Hello loveez,
Its 2013 and time to turn a new page in the book that is Kalae All Day----i mean, NOUVEAU ;)
I'm very excited to announce that me and Charlene Kaye will be releasing a music video tomorrow for the highly anticipated "Woman Up" Remix by David Scalia. This song is a woman power anthem that EVERYONE can relate to.
Me and Charlene Kaye met at Tinderbox, an all female music festival founded by musician/singer/songwriter Alyson Greenfield, and hosted at the legendary Knitting Factory in BK. It was only natural that that much kick ass estrogen would combine into a ball of fiery, goddess, sister hood music that's high power, fun and digestible.
Here's some of the hoopla happening on twitter as the anticipation rises!
Bianca Gordan says: "It blew my face off when you guys played it live at Rockwood in 2012!"
SnitchShadow4 Says: "Cannot WAIT to see it!! Woman Up is always on my list of girl power feel-good songs :D"
Kens Says: "I always listen to Woman Up when I'm feeling down and I adore the live version with Kalae, so I'm excited!"
Here's a little on Charlene Kaye:
It’s been all systems go for Hawaii-born, New York-based Charlene Kaye since releasing her sophomore album “Animal Love,” which reached #15 on the iTunes pop charts and has been hailed as “a tour de force of Kaye’s songwriting talents and her voice” (Pop Stereo) and “fluent in classical piano as [it] is in glam rock” (The New Yorker). In addition to relentless touring and playing CMJ and SXSW festivals, the ambitious songwriter/multi-instrumentalist has earned enthusiastic reviews from PopMatters, VH1, Huffington Post, NPR, the Village Voice and more for her soulful voice, fierce guitar playing and electrifying live shows.
Since moving to New York in 2009, she has shared bills with the likes of Big Boi, Minus the Bear and Holly Miranda and has amassed over a million views on her YouTube channel. She was the supporting act for musical theater/internet sensation Team StarKid on their last two nationwide tours, which sold upwards of 25,000 tickets each run and whose final show was at a sold-out Roseland Ballroom in New York. Her single “Dress and Tie” featuring good friend Darren Criss of Glee, was featured in a promo for NBC’s Chuck, had extensive play on radio stations nationwide and was selected as official boarding music for Delta Airlines.
With a rapidly growing fan base, new recordings and more touring on the horizon, Kaye shows no signs of slowing down, picking up steam even before she leaves the ground.

Hopefully soon Ill start featuring some wearable looks of my own including shopping tips and how to wear one item in a zillion different looks! Also DIY pieces which if you didn't know, I am a jewelry designer so I know a thing or two about being chic at little to no cost.

Blue Gold (Less Water, Mo' Problems)
SO,
For the second year in a row I will be donating my birthday to Charity Water to help fund the production and shipment of a water rig to developing countries that will drill wells to provide FRESH, CLEAN, DRINKABLE water to thousands in need.

This year I have named this campaign after a very powerful documentary called "Blue Gold."
If you havent seen this, please watch on hulu or netflix or just google it and find it somewhere. It will change the way you feel about talking 20minute showers.
So please, as my birthday gift this year, donate $24 (or what ever you have) to this campaign and send love with it. Then post this link on your social networks and talk to some of your close friends and family and ask them if they are willing to donate as well. My goal is $1000 and every little bit helps.

KALAE
Last year I donated my birthday to Water Works Charity and helped them to fund a rig that would drill 80 wells in Ethiopia bringing fresh drinkable water to over 40,000 people each year. I raised the small amount of $316 to donate to this cause, but since plenty of people just like me fund-raised and donated their birthdays, look at what they (WE) were able to accomplish..
This brings a tear to my eye. I want to do this everyday.
